Wat Pa Phu Pha Sung is on a ridge area that has a way up along the slope in the north. Along the ridge at the steep cliff, it consists of the sandstone in the category of Preah Vihear. Some of the sandstone are the stone slab outstretching to see the beautiful scenery of the bottom area. This sandstone mountain range stretching continually along the edge of the Korat plateau in the south. For the topography, it is similar to Khao Eto that there is the steep cliff in the south and the slope along to the north. The area of Wat Pa Phu Pha Sung has been developed and built the walkway and the bridge along the edge of the steep cliff that has beautifully emerging sandstone. Also, there were traces of ancient animals and worms found on the sandstone in the area of Wat Pa Phu Pha Sung.
